We respond to many requests from organizations who want us to share our knowledge of Burlington’s history. We also work with the public to secure insight into Burlington’s past from those that were actually there.
We are engaged in activities such as:
- Presentations to church groups, associations, etc. as well as public programs providing a series of in-depth presentations on a broad range of topics such as Agriculture, Brant Inn of Old, Brant Street, Spencer Smith – the Man and the Park, Villages of Burlington, Businesses and Commercial Enterprises
- Oral histories which includes interviewing long-time residents to obtain personal and unique perspectives on Burlington’s earlier years
- We participate in heritage activities such as Heritage Fair, Doors Open Burlington, Jane’s Walk, community book fairs, and Joseph Brant Day to name a few. We also maintain active partnerships with other community heritage partners such as the Museums of Burlington, Heritage Burlington, Burlington Public Library, Halton’s Heritage Services, and other local historical societies.
